Tinubu Is Committed To Making Nigeria Better- Lagos Lawmaker

 

A Lagos Lawmaker, Hon. Femi Saheed, has said President Bola Tinubu is committed to making Nigeria better and prosperous with his economic reforms.

Saheed who represents Kosofe Constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, said this during the 9th Constituency Stakeholders’ meeting held in Alapere area of the State.

Enlightening the people on the benefits of the economic reforms and policies of President Tinubu, the Lagos Lawmaker explained that the reforms were necessary considering the state of the economy before the emergence of Tinubu administration, saying that if fuel subsidy was not stopped, Nigeria would economically bankrupt.

He urged the people to bear with President Tinubu and continue to support his economic reforms and policies, adding that the reforms would yield positive results soon.

Saheed said that the unification of foreign exchange and removal of fuel subsidy have enhance the economy of the country and bring about economic growth.

He explained that through its policies, the government had been able to drive in foreign direct investments and that more foreign portfolios would continue to prioritise Nigeria among other African countries for investment.

Speaking on youths involvement in Agriculture, Saheed encouraged the young Nigerians to embrace urban farming, saying that it would help in ensuring food security in the country.

” I want to urge our youths to get involve in Agriculture. It is the way to go now that we have food insecurity. If they engage in farming either urban or rural farming, we will experience food security.

On his legislative achievements, the lawmakers said he had facilitated capital projects to the constituency, adding that more are on the way.

Saheed explained that he prioritise the development of his constituency in the discharge of his legislative responsibilities, adding that through the support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, he had facilitated the construction of 10 roads.

He also added that the building of football stadium in the constituency for youth development was made possible with the support of the governor and the speaker, adding that more solar water boreholes would be sank in 6 strategic areas in Kosofe constituency 2.

Meanwhile, the Council Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, Simiat Bada, apologised the lawmaker for the projects facilitated to the constituency, saying that they were legacy projects that would stand test of time.

Bada added that the lawmaker had changed the face of politics and legislative action in the constituency, thanking the party leaders for recommending the lawmaker to the people in the last 2023 general elections.

” We thank our leaders for the foresight. When they introduce Hon Femi Saheed to us during APC primaries to fly the flag of our party in the 2023 elections, many people were doubting his capacity but I told them this man will make us proud. Look at it now, he is making us proud. He has done well. He has facilitated capital projects to our constituency and he will still do more.

” We, the Council Chairmen in the constituency are not resting on delivery the dividends of democracy to our people too. As Hon Femi Saheed is bring more projects to Kosofe 2, we also will be doing ours too. This will make the constituency great”, said Bada.
